About Me – My Teaching Approach
I work with motivated adult learners who want structured, measurable progress in Dutch for work, daily life, or exams. My lessons are calm, systematic, and designed to build long-term confidence — not just short-term memorization.
My goal is to help you speak clearly and accurately, with strong sentence structure and real control over the language.
My Teaching Method & Techniques
My approach is structured and evidence-based, shaped by my background in Behavioral Analysis and communication development.
In my lessons, we focus on:
Clear sentence structure and correct verb placement
Controlled speaking practice (structured 3–5 sentence answers)
Short pronunciation drills to improve accuracy
Targeted grammar frameworks
Guided roleplays based on real-life or exam situations
I do not rely on a fixed textbook. Instead, I use structured grammar patterns and practical application so that you understand how the language works. Writing is used strategically to strengthen speaking, ensuring that fluency develops with accuracy and stability.
My lessons are predictable in structure, neurodivergent-friendly, and designed to reduce overwhelm while increasing clarity.
What a Typical Lesson Looks Like
A typical session includes:
Structured warm-up speaking
Focus on one clear grammar framework
Controlled speaking practice
Pronunciation refinement
Short written consolidation
Clear feedback and next steps
Each lesson builds progressively. I increase complexity gradually so that your speaking becomes stable and confident over time.
What Sets Me Apart
Strong focus on sentence structure and verb control
Calm, systematic teaching style
Direct, clear correction
Structured speaking development (not casual conversation)
Experience preparing students for Inburgering and NT2 Programma I & II
Practical workplace Dutch training
I prioritize measurable progress. My aim is not simply that you “talk more,” but that you speak with clarity, control, and confidence.
Who My Lessons Are For
I work exclusively with adults, from beginner (A0) to upper-intermediate (B2).
My lessons are ideal for:
Professionals who need Dutch for work
Expats integrating into Dutch society
Adults preparing for Inburgering (A2–B1)
Students preparing for NT2 Programma I or II
Learners who prefer structured, calm lessons
I do not teach children or advanced academic C1/C2 levels.
I believe that consistent structure creates confidence. If you are serious about improving your Dutch in a calm, systematic way, I would be happy to work with you.
