As a civil engineer with two master’s degrees and years of teaching experience, I offer reliable, expert support in math, physics, and engineering courses. My tutoring approach is centered on building strong conceptual understanding and confidence. I break complex engineering, math, and physics topics into simple, logical steps, and I use real examples from industry and university courses to help students see the practical meaning behind the theory. I always start by identifying each student’s strengths, weaknesses, and learning style, then tailor my explanations and practice problems to match what they need most.
A typical lesson begins with a short review of key concepts, followed by guided problem-solving where I demonstrate clear methods and then help the student apply them independently. I focus heavily on understanding why each step matters, not just memorizing formulas, so students can use the skills in exams and future courses. I end each session with a quick summary and a personalized set of practice steps for next time.
What sets me apart is my background as a civil engineer with two master’s degrees, years of industry experience, and a strong foundation in math and physics. I have taught high-school and university students for many years, including as an EngLinks tutor at Queen’s University, supporting courses such as APSC 111, 112, 171, and Solid Mechanics I & II.
