About Nathan

I began playing chess over 5 years ago, and since then I have dedicated myself to learning as much as possible about the game. What started as simple curiosity quickly became a true passion. Over the years, I have developed my skills through consistent practice, studying strategy, and competing against strong players, which has deepened both my knowledge and respect for chess.
What I love most about chess is that it is far more than just a game. It teaches patience, concentration, problem-solving, discipline, and the ability to think ahead skills that are valuable both on and off the chessboard. I personally noticed how much sharper and more focused I became in my everyday life through playing chess regularly.
Two years ago, I started teaching my father how to play, and shortly after, I began helping some of my friends’ children learn the game as well. Seeing beginners improve, gain confidence, and genuinely enjoy chess sparked something in me and inspired me to start teaching others.
My lessons are designed to be fun, supportive, and beginner-friendly, especially for children who are just starting their chess journey. I believe every student learns differently, so I focus on creating a comfortable environment where students can learn at their own pace without pressure.

About the lesson

Whether you are a complete beginner or a parent looking for a patient and encouraging chess coach for your child, my lessons are designed to make chess simple, enjoyable, and rewarding.
I focus on creating a relaxed learning environment where students can grow in confidence while developing real chess skills step by step. My lessons are especially beginner-friendly, meaning no prior experience is needed at all. I understand that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to match each person’s pace and personality.
For children, I keep lessons interactive and engaging so that learning never feels boring or overwhelming. Chess is not only a game — it also helps improve concentration, problem-solving, patience, critical thinking, and decision-making skills that can benefit students in everyday life and school.
During lessons, students will learn:
The rules and fundamentals of chess
Openings and basic strategies
Tactical thinking and pattern recognition
How to plan ahead and think confidently
Common mistakes and how to avoid them
