About Tise
I am a passionate and rated chess player based in Toronto with a love for sharing the game with others. I believe chess is one of the best tools for developing critical thinking, patience, and focus skills that go far beyond the board. I create a welcoming, pressure-free environment where students of all ages feel comfortable learning at their own pace. Whether you are a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your game, I am committed to making every lesson enjoyable, structured, and genuinely valuable.

I give students a strong, lasting foundation in chess by covering all four pillars: openings, tactics, endgames, and game review. Every lesson is structured but fun — we warm up with puzzles, dive into one focused concept, play a practice game, and review together.
I am a rated player on (concealed information) and I teach with patience and encouragement, making sure every student understands how to think at the board — not just what moves to make.
Open to all levels — kids (6–12), teens, and adult beginners are all welcome.
