About Janot
I'm a CFA charterholder (2022) and CAIA charterholder (2025), with an MBA and a BBA in Finance (graduated with a 3.98 GPA). I'm an investment professional specializing in manager research and due diligence — I analyze mutual funds, ETFs, and portfolio managers across global asset classes and support investment committees and model portfolios. Earlier in my career, I worked as a licensed portfolio manager, running discretionary portfolios and serving on an investment committee.
I've spent years tutoring undergraduate and graduate finance students, and I genuinely enjoy turning complex topics into clear, practical explanations. My teaching draws on real market experience, not just textbooks — so you'll learn how these concepts actually apply in the investment industry, which also happens to be exactly what exams love to test.

My lessons are one-on-one and built around your syllabus and goals. We start by identifying the gaps — keeping up with lectures, preparing for midterms and finals, or mastering a difficult topic — then work through concepts step by step with real examples and practice problems until they click.
I cover the highest-demand finance courses at the undergraduate and graduate level: Valuation, Corporate Finance, Investment Theory, Fixed Income, Derivatives, Risk Management, Financial Statement Analysis and Accounting, International Finance, and Economics & Quantitative Methods. I also coach CFA Level I, II, and III candidates.
As a CFA charterholder and practicing investment professional, I connect textbook theory to how markets actually work, which makes the material stick — and makes exam questions feel familiar instead of intimidating. Lessons are available online via Zoom or in person in Edmonton, with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends.
