About Mindy
My name is Mindy, and I am a certified educator with 16 years of classroom experience. I currently teach seventh-grade math and have worked with students at different academic levels and with a variety of learning needs. I am patient, dependable, organized, and committed to helping students feel successful. I understand that math can sometimes feel frustrating, so I create a positive and respectful learning environment where students can ask questions, make mistakes, and build confidence. My name is Mindy, and I am an experienced certified teacher who provides patient, encouraging, and personalized math instruction. I break difficult concepts into clear, manageable steps and use examples, guided practice, visual models, and real-world connections to help students build confidence.
A typical lesson begins with a quick review of the student’s current skills, followed by direct instruction, guided examples, independent practice, and a final check for understanding. I adjust each lesson based on the student’s learning style and individual needs.
