About Jonathan

I am a CELTA qualified native English teacher from Oxfordshire, but currently residing in Manchester, who is passionate about teaching English and meeting people from all over the world. Throughout my years of teaching, I have had the utmost pleasure to help students reach their full potential, whether that is assisting them to pass exams with flying colours, or just helping them enhance their fluency, so they can grow in confidence when speaking English. I always want to go that extra mile to deliver high-quality lessons that are both informative and enriching. I hope my demeanour is sure to provide you with engaging and fun lessons.

About the lesson

As an experienced ESL teacher, providing excellent and adaptable English lessons is my top priority. I understand that every student is unique, with their own learning style and goals, which is why I use a range of materials and activities to cater to what is required. Whether it's using authentic materials like news articles, or engaging students in interactive activities like role-plays and debates, my lessons are always tailored to the individual. My goal is to help students gain confidence in their English abilities and reach their language goals. Students can feel comfortable making mistakes, as that is the only way we can improve. Homework can be provided on request.

This helps me learn English quickly and build my confidence in daily conversation. He also introduces some innovative methods for me to remember new vocabularies and their usage. Amazing, I can't believe I can memorise phrasal verbs with a song. :)
