About Giuseppe

I have taught instrument for several years both privately and in different structures of the Capital. My lessons last about an hour and are done at my home, but I also appreciate the shifts. You can record lessons with your cell phone or other. Payment is made on a single lesson.

About the lesson

I am a former bassist and bassist bassist from the Saint Louis College of Music and Conservatory of Santa Cecilia in Rome. I have been active for several years in the area of Rome and around the world and I work with different formations of capital both in live and in recording studio. The lessons are aimed at those who want to undertake a professional career or prepare for admission to the conservatory, but also for those who are in the early arms and want to undertake the study of the instrument starting from the rudiments. The lessons cover and deepen the following topics: - Approach to the instrument: Correct hand setting on the keyboard to optimize movements and develop the best technique - Develop sound and keyboard study: Includes a series of exercises between scales and arpeggios one and more octaves at different levels of difficulty and speeds to make the keyboard of the instrument better known. - Timing Study: Exercises with the metronome starting from the simplest to treating (narrow and wide), sixteenth and thirty-two with shifting accent and rhythmic modulation. - Listening Guide: Study and knowledge of the role of bass in different musical styles by addressing different musical languages both in accompaniment and improvisation. - Harmony: Study and awareness of musical harmony starting from the concept of "interval" to the harmonization of the major scale to the less harmonic and melodic with its study of the scales that result from it - Harmonic Analysis: Study and analysis at the harmonic level of various songs of the world music scene - Reading and Solfeggio: Studio of the violin keystroke and bass key with related reading and solfeggio exercises - The bass funk and the ghost notes: Study and transcription of funk-funk tracks, development of ghost notes at different BPMs - Walking bass and improvisation in jazz: Study of standards, transcription and construction of a walking bass and solo improvisation with attention to various styles and dynamics of jazz language. - Low Pop: Study of the role of the bass in pop by listening and transcribing some of the most influential pieces of the Italian and international panorama, sounding and timing. - Odd Times: Study of odd times and compound times such as 3/4, 5/4, 7/4, 9/4 etc.
