About Joshua

I'm a Professional ATPL groundschool instructor and Airline pilot, holding a UK, EASA, and ICAO ATPL. I have been flying professionally for 15 years with experience in Charter and airline operations and currently flying.

I regularly teach PPL, CPL & ATPL theory online & in the classroom, keeping current with the latest changes to the syllabus.

I live in the UK and the nature of flying allows me time to help those struggling to understand some of the subject areas or relate them with the question bank questions. My main students are normally new pilots who need help outside of groundschool or self-study distance learning, and qualified pilots doing licence conversions and needing a refresher of some core content.

About the lesson

Get help understanding and passiing the exams. Pilot groundschool can be tough! I will work with you on your troubled areas or can do a complete subject brush-up using one-on-one tuition. This can be web-based using the 2-way interactive whiteboard and camera or face-to-face. A typical lesson will include talking, drawing, and questions to help connect the theory to the questions.

We can work on UK or EASA PPL CPL or ATPL level subjects as outlined below: Airlaw Operational Procedures Flight Planning General Navigation Meteorology Aircraft General Knowledge Principles of Flight Human Performance and Limitations VFR/ IFR Communications Mass and Balance Radio Navigation Performance (A) Instrumentation

Perfect! I can't recommend Josh enough, a 3 hours class was more productive than months of studying.
He is extremely patient with a incredible method of teaching, simplifying everything as much as possible making the topics so much easier to understand and memorize.
My only regret is not knowing about him before, I absolutely gonna have other classes prior to my exams, and I'll make sure to recommend him to all my colleagues.

Perfect! I can't recommend Josh enough, a 3 hours class was more productive than months of studying.
He is extremely patient with a incredible method of teaching, simplifying everything as much as possible making the topics so much easier to understand and memorize.
My only regret is not knowing about him before, I absolutely gonna have other classes prior to my exams, and I'll make sure to recommend him to all my colleagues.

His natural learning flow and friendly character makes him very easy to work with, while his flying background will bring a great perspective and help visualise many knowledge areas for this new license. Perfect! After quite a short time of tuition from Joshua, I went from getting an average of 30% on General Navigation to getting 70% +. I can only imagine how much better I'll understand my other subjects. He's generally free whenever you are and is happy to reschedule at last minute. A nice guy and VERY knowledgeable on all of the ATPL subjects.
