About Merryn
I have been teaching for 30 years in schools and a one to one tutor for 10 years. I listen carefully to the needs of the students and tailor my teaching to them ensuring that they understand fully before progressing. I have also taught in signed supported English and British sign language in whole classes and one to one.
Enjoyment and laughter always helps when teaching and that is something I have included. I am never ashamed to laugh at myself if need be to make sure what is being taught is understood. Drama can also help with the understanding too.
I thoroughly love teaching and seeing my pupils grow in their knowledge and understanding.
The parents of the students I have tutored have all spoken highly of me and especially those where the students have statements with special educational needs.
