Izzi was my mentor during my Early Career teaching days.
This allowed me to observe her teaching over an extended period of time . I learned much from seeing how she taught and interacted with her students. The clarity of her teaching was outstanding . She knew how to breakdown complex concepts and mathematical processes into simple well structured pieces of information and sub-skills. She had a knack of highlighting what were the key takeaways of a lesson and what to focus on to do well in an exam.

Her superb organisational skills were evident in all her lesson and curriculum planning

In our school maths department she spearheaded several improvements . One notable example was a homework system she brought in that did much to improve the quality of student learning.

She was devoted to her students and I personally witnessed her go that extra mile for them, beyond the call of a teacher’s duty. It is not surprising that so many of her students were extremely attached to her.

I’ve known Izzi for over 20 years and she’s one of the most hardworking and reliable people I know. She’s super organised, explains things clearly and adapts easily to different people. She’s fun, friendly, and loves teaching maths in school as well as tutoring 1-1.

As a former student who now studies maths at university, she is an amazing maths teacher who is able to break down the most complex topics into more digestible steps which is something that only a handful of maths teachers can successfully do. As well as this, she is a very kind and supportive teacher who helped me get 9s in both Maths and Further Maths.
