About Emma
I am a teacher, who has worked in the same school for the last 15 years and am now keen to develop an online teaching role. I specialise in English, with a degree from Oxford Brookes University in English Literature and Language and Teaching. One element of my role within school was that of Reading Leader and English curriculum co-ordinator, so English has been at the core of my entire career and is a real passion of mine.

My teaching methods vary and I pride myself on differentiation and being able to adapt lessons accordingly in order to meet students different learning styles, levels and abilities. I firmly believe that learning is most successful when you engage with a topic in a variety of ways, be that through discussion, practical activities, independent research based activities etc. and enjoy finding ways to encourage students to engage with a topic. I have worked with students from aged 5 to 16, so have a broad experience in engaging students in order to develop their confidence and achieve results!
