About Sean
I am an experienced History educator with 13 years’ experience and a recently completed Master’s degree focused on modern history. In my role as both teacher and leader at a top British school, I support students at Key Stage 3, iGCSE, and IBDP levels. My approach centres on demystifying complex historical events and themes, guiding learners to develop strong analytical skills, compelling writing techniques, and a genuine passion for the subject. My lessons are tailored to unlock students’ critical thinking and source-evaluation skills while sharpening their essay-writing abilities—key components of high-level History study. Having worked in both classroom and online environments since 2013, I’ve learned to adapt to a wide range of individual needs and learning styles. As a pastoral leader at a prominent institution, I create a structured but supportive atmosphere that encourages students to explore topics in depth, engage in lively discussions, and feel prepared for any coursework or exam.
