About Charlotte
I am the head of music in a secondary school and primarily a classically trained flautist. I have been playing the flute for over 25 years, the guitar for over 15 years and have been singing for as long as I can remember.
Although I have only taken formal grades on the flute (grade 8 ABRSM, classical flute), I sing to grade 8 level for rock and pop.
I have a passion for music and I love to share this passion with others, enabling students to reach their goals in a supportive environment.

With the ideal music lesson being 30 mins, I would assess and evaluate your current level, and if a complete beginner we would start with your interests and goals and make a personalised plan.
Each lesson would start with a warm-up, followed by technical control and exercises, a run-through of sections of the repertoire to apply to techniques looked at and end with a play-through.
I am a qualified teacher (QTS) and the head of music in a secondary school. I have been playing the flute for over 25 years and hold grade 8, but play to diploma standard.
I have been delivering vocal lessons for 8 years and sing to grade 8 standard myself. Having entered many students for vocal exams, I have a 100% pass rate for Trinity Rock and Pop Vocals.
I am more experienced in delivering lessons to children aged 11-18, however I am able to plan and deliver lessons for children aged 7 and above. I have previously tutored both male and female adults, this would depend upon your goals as to whether I would be able to help.
