About Katharine
I am a Phoenix native who attended school in Portland, OR (where most of my tutoring experience is from). Despite struggling substantially with subtraction in first grade, I was grew into my math abilities throughout middle school and high school thanks to a few significant teachers. Now, I study math every day and enjoy the way that it helps me see and analyze the world!
I am committed to helping all young students realize that math is not the enemy, but an incredible tool to be mastered to accomplish their dreams.

If you're looking for a dynamic and fun-spirited tutor to teach math in a simple and understandable way, you're in the right place! Il use a combination of examples, simulations/graphers, games and practice problems to create a lesson plan that is catered to the individual needs of each student.
I have taught several students, including those with learning disabilities and attention deficits, who have successfully improved their grades over the course of the school year.
