About Mmathoto elizabeth

Hello! I am a passionate and dedicated educator from South Africa with over four years of experience teaching in the Foundation and Intermediate Phases. I specialize in Mathematics, Science, and English Language Arts (ELA), helping young learners build strong academic foundations across these key subjects.

My teaching approach is student-centered, supportive, and tailored to each learner’s individual needs. I believe every child can succeed when lessons are explained clearly and at a pace that suits them. I break down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and use practical examples, interactive activities, and guided practice to keep lessons engaging and meaningful.

I teach in English and aim to create a positive, encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing confidence in their abilities.

About the lesson

My approach to private tutoring is student-centered, supportive, and tailored to each learner’s needs. I believe that every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching strategies to match their pace, strengths, and learning style. I use practical examples, visual aids, and interactive activities to make Mathematics and Science engaging and easy to understand. My teaching is also data-driven, meaning I regularly assess progress and adjust lessons to ensure consistent improvement.

What makes me unique as a teacher is my experience in Foundation and Intermediate Phase education, as well as my ability to build a positive and encouraging learning environment. I focus not only on helping students understand concepts but also on building their confidence and problem-solving skills.

I am proficient in English and can teach lessons clearly and effectively in this language. I aim to explain concepts in simple, relatable ways so students feel comfortable asking questions and participating actively.

During a typical lesson, students can expect a structured session that includes reviewing previous work, introducing new concepts step-by-step, practicing with guided examples, and completing exercises that reinforce understanding. I also provide helpful strategies, feedback, and encouragement throughout the lesson.
