About Jeanette
After graduating with a PGCE from the prestigious Institute of Education, I began teaching English at a top performing state school in Camden with many SEN and EAL students. Here I took on the roles of KS3 Lead and Deputy Head of Department. During this time my students achieved outstanding results and the English department's results were within the top 5% in the country. Since becoming a Mum and moving to Sussex I have worked part-time and now have the capacity to take on more students for tutoring. Outside the classroom I love travel, films, baking and books (of course)! Working with young people is a privilege and helping them succeed is the most rewarding part of it all.

Colleagues, students and parents have often commented on my calm and friendly approach - putting students at ease and making them feel comfortable and valued is always my first priority.
I have over fifteen years' experience in the classroom and have marked GCSE papers for AQA.
I currently offer tutoring sessions at KS3, 4 and 5.
I enable students to progress quickly by tailoring sessions to both their needs and their interests, to ensure they succeed but enjoy the subject too.
