About Hanifah
My name is Hani and I’m really passionate about making learning about English and media fun, fulfilling, and relevant to your life and interests.
As someone who struggled to stay engaged in school, I understand that typical education structures don't work for everybody, especially if you have ADHD or dyslexia, but I don't think that should be a barrier to learning. I approaching teaching by creating a unique progression plan with my students, based on your own goals and interests, tailored to your learning style.
My own passion for English and writing led me into an entertainment journalism career, where I wrote about TV and movies (another passion of mine).
When it comes to teaching, I like to find out about your passions, and work with students to implement them into our learning, making the process as much engaging, accessible and educational as possible.

With over three years of teaching and tutoring experience, I work with the students to understand their learning needs and goals to tailor a progression plan to help them see their improvement as they advance.
As I work with students from the ages of 5-17, each progression plan is unique to learning level and style (I have experience working with students who have ADHD and dyslexia), but sessions typically last an hour.
As a tutor, my aim is of course to improve attainment in the subject at hand, but I'm also passionate about fostering a warm learning environment that promotes confidence in each child's ability to succeed.
