About Cora
I have my bachelors degree in Elementary Education with 16 additional credits in special education and currently working on my Reading In Curriculum. I have taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades reading and writing for the past three years at Lusk Elementary School. While doing so, I managed my classroom to create an ideal learning environment. In the last three years, I have been a part of our district curriculum development serving on the board as an ELA delegate. While teaching, I have designed lesson plans appropriate to each class level and used differentiated to meet the needs of my students. I have participated actively in our weekly PLC and am part of our district-wide literacy PLC team. I am trained in Orton Gillingham in two levels, Comprehensive and Morphology Plus, as well as Reading Horizons, and currently getting trained in Step-Up to writing to be a trainer. I also am fully trained through Kagen Cooperative Learning.
