About Richerd
With a passion for music and teaching, I specialise in helping students of all ages master the piano. I hold Master’s degrees in Music, equipping me with strong theoretical knowledge and practical skills. I have taught beginners, intermediate learners, and advanced students preparing for exams, recitals, and competitions. My lessons are personalised and student-centred, designed to balance creativity with structured learning. I use real-life examples and case studies to help students connect rhythm, melody, and harmony to practical situations. Motivation is key, and I encourage students to set goals, track progress, and celebrate milestones.
Problem-solving is integrated to develop independent thinking and analytical skills. I teach with integrity, creating a safe, honest, and supportive environment where students feel comfortable experimenting. I am flexible, tailoring lessons to each student’s pace, style, and learning objectives. Along with piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and composition. I prepare students for exams, competitions, and performances while fostering creativity, confidence, and discipline. Lessons are available online or in-person for learners of all ages. I focus on technical skills, musical expression, and building a lifelong love of music. Each lesson is motivating, enjoyable, and productive. My ultimate goal is to help students become confident, skilled, and expressive musicians.

I teach piano using a methodology that combines creativity, practical learning, and personal growth. I use real-life examples and case studies to help students connect music to everyday experiences, such as comparing rhythm to walking, breathing, or talking patterns, and harmony to teamwork or blending colours in art. I focus on motivation, helping students set achievable goals, track their progress, and celebrate every milestone, which builds confidence and a love for music. Problem-solving is an essential part of my lessons, as I encourage students to analyse challenges, explore different approaches, and develop independence in their learning.
I place great importance on integrity, creating a safe, honest, and respectful environment where students feel comfortable experimenting and learning from mistakes. I am also highly flexible, adapting lessons to the student’s age, skill level, goals, and personal interests. Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and basic composition, giving students a comprehensive understanding of music. Lessons are available online or in-person, suitable for children, teens, and adults. My ultimate goal is to help students play with technical accuracy, expressiveness, and creativity, while fostering a lifelong appreciation for music and building confidence, discipline, and independence in every aspect of learning.
