About Richard
Having completed a BSc in Mathematics and my PGCE, I have taught in Secondary Schools in Cumbria for the past 15 years and worked concurrently as a private Mathematics tutor for the past 14 years. I have experience teaching pupils aged 8-21, including GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, and GCSE and A-Level Further Mathematics. I have experience working with all of the major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR and MEI), 11+ entrance exams, STEP exams and have worked as an examiner for Edexcel.

I have experience teaching pupils aged 8-21, including GCSE and A-Level Mathematics, and GCSE and A-Level Further Mathematics. I have experience working with all of the major exam boards (AQA, Edexcel, OCR and MEI), 11+ entrance exams, STEP exams and have worked as an examiner for Edexcel.
My focus during tutoring sessions is to provide a highly individualised service to my students, focusing on their areas of weakness, improving their confidence, and working at their pace.
Lessons can be in-person or online, with typical lesson lengths of 30, 45 or 60 minutes.
