About Marcus
I am a scientist and educator with an MEng in Materials Science from Imperial College London, where I also spent four years as a researcher and Graduate Teaching Associate.
I've recently been working as an interim STEM teacher in London, giving me hands-on classroom experience alongside my academic background. I'm patient, adaptable, and genuinely enjoy helping students build confidence in subjects that can feel intimidating.
Outside of teaching I work on data engineering projects and play competitive table tennis

I'm a Maths and Physics tutor based in London with an MEng from Imperial College London and current experience as an interim STEM teacher. I focus on building genuine understanding rather than memorisation - helping students see the logic behind the material so it actually sticks.
I create tailored revision guides, practice questions, and worked examples specific to each student's weak spots and exam board.
Lessons are typically 1-2 hours and structured around what the student needs that week - whether that's concept building, exam technique, or working through past papers.
I teach GCSE and A-Level Maths, Physics, and Chemistry and have experience working with a wide range of students - from those with additional learning needs to high achievers looking to push for top grades. I'm happy to travel to students across London by bike or teach online - whichever works best for you.
