About Hugh
I am an artist who recently moved to the North East from Australia. I specialise in drawing and painting, while also expanding my practice to print and sound works. I am passionate about sharing the benefits of a creative practice with kids and people of all ages. After completing my Bachelor of Fine Arts and Graduate Diploma of Fine Arts degrees, I have exhibited work in many solo and group shows, and have been providing art lessons for over 2 years.

My teaching method is very relaxed, as I like to move at a comfortable rate, working to expand each student's development and allowing them to explore their own creativity. Lessons will be catered to the student's experience level as each student will require different structures. Lessons will usually include drawing and painting fundamentals, followed by a larger project which comes to completion over a number of weeks. This is very fluid, and if a student needs help with a specific task I am very happy to focus on this. Let me know where you're at and what you want to achieve and we can work towards it together.
