About Milo

With a proven track record of guiding students to success in maths, economics, and English at GCSE and A-Level levels, I offer a blend of expertise and enthusiasm that inspires confidence. I taught English and Maths at local disadvantaged schools during the sixth form, with the students I taught achieving the highest results at the Junior and Intermediate Maths Challenge in the school’s history.

This is found both on curriculum learning, or outside of it, where I achieved 11 Grade 9s at GCSE and full marks in both GCSE and English coursework. I have also had great success assisting students in Oxbridge essay competitions, summer schools scholarships and working with students to improve their university applications. I can also assist students with extended writing projects, having achieved an A* in the EPQ program. My commitment to professionalism is evident in my meticulous lesson planning, personalised approach, and clear communication. I have a genuine desire to see students thrive academically, wanting to stretch them and make the most of their ability.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach revolves around personalised attention, fostering understanding, and nurturing critical thinking skills. I believe in tailoring my techniques to each student's individual learning style, ensuring concepts are grasped thoroughly.

I typically start by assessing the student's current understanding and identifying areas for improvement. Then, I design lesson plans that incorporate a mix of interactive discussions, problem-solving exercises, and practical applications to reinforce learning.

Lessons typically last for 40 minutes, allowing ample time for in-depth exploration of topics while maintaining focus and engagement.

I bring a deep understanding of the subjects I tutor — Maths, Economics, and English at GCSE and A-Level level. My academic background, combined with my experience tutoring at local schools, equips me to effectively communicate complex concepts in a clear and accessible manner.

My lessons cater to students at GCSE and A-Level who are seeking to excel academically and develop a strong foundation in these subjects. Whether students need help with exam preparation, coursework, or simply understanding core concepts, my tutoring is tailored to their individual needs and aspirations.
