About Morenike
Teaching violin is my passion, and I approach every student with professionalism, patience, and a genuine commitment to your growth and enjoyment.
With years of dedicated experience teaching violin to beginners and developing players, I have guided dozens of students from their very first bow hold to confidently performing pieces with beautiful tone and expression. My own background includes rigorous training in violin performance and pedagogy, drawing from respected methods like Suzuki, traditional conservatory-style technique, and modern music education practices. I stay current through ongoing professional development, listening to masterclasses, studying recordings of world-class violinists, and refining my teaching to deliver the best possible results.
What truly drives me is seeing students light up when they hear their own clear, singing sound for the first time—or when they master a challenging passage and realize, “I can do this!” I treat every lesson with the seriousness it deserves: punctual, prepared, structured, and focused on steady, measurable progress.

My teaching philosophy centers on making violin accessible, enjoyable, and truly rewarding for every student. I believe the violin is not just an instrument—it's a tool for building confidence, discipline, focus, musical expression, and lifelong joy in music.
I draw from a balanced, hybrid approach that combines the best elements of proven methods:
Suzuki-inspired ear training and repetition (to develop beautiful tone, intonation, and natural musicality early through listening and imitation)
Traditional structured technique and note-reading (to build independence, music literacy, and the ability to play in ensembles or read new music quickly)
Modern, student-centered elements (incorporating popular tunes, movie themes, backing tracks, and creative improvisation to keep motivation high, especially for preteens and teens)
This blended style allows beginners to make quick, audible progress while developing solid fundamentals—no one gets stuck in "only ear" or "only theory" mode.
