Vishal was a wonderful teacher! His teaching style and emotional support for Harry over the SATs period was appreciated. His desire to inspire Harry and make him believe he could do well was a joy to see! Vishal tutored Darren for GCSE English Language. He explained everything really clearly and had a wide range of resources/notes that he used alongside exam papers. We particularly liked the fact that he went through a range of different exam papers (some easy and some hard) and came up with a checklist on what each question should include. This was very important as Darren had been scoring very low marks in the questions that were 20 marks or more but Vishal’s methods meant he was able to consistently score in the 80-90% range from then on. He also set weekly tasks which improved my son’s essay writing skills and confidence and led to better results in his exams. We used Vishal to support my son with his 11+ exams. We saw our son progress week-by-week in 2 subjects (Maths and English). Our child was moving from IB curriculum in Asia to UK in the middle of lockdown. Vishal brought him up to speed with major differences in approaching a timed exam, for Maths & Language. He eased the child into a routine, eventhough we felt 2 hrs sessions were really testing child’s concentration. Vishal taught him to look for cues and approach the question accordingly, filtering relevant information and saving time. In language comprehension, he managed to guide what is important information from additional information, which is a very tricky to achieve.

I asked Vishal to prepare my son for the 11+ English (prose and creative writing) 4 months prior to the exams. The amount of work and effort he put into delivering lessons and doing everything he could for my son led to some great results. He was friendly and made it so that my son enjoyed the lessons and looked forward to the next lesson. He brought exam papers to the lessons and had a clear strategy in terms of what we needed to focus on from the first lesson onwards. He started teaching exam techniques from the first lesson and this really instilled a clear sense of what my son was expected to do in each and every exam paper. GCSE Science: We appointed Vishal as our tutor after an initial discussion with him. Under Vishal’s guidance and support, our daughter worked her way towards grade 8 for GCSE Biology. We knew she had potential - however her confidence and focus was low, due to her school having several different biology teachers within the space of a year. Vishal covered the GCSE Biology syllabus and incorporated exam practice questions to build up her knowledge. We could see her confidence growing and we were happy. Her final GCSE grades included several 7’s and an 8 for Biology.

We knew from the onset that Vishal was the right tutor for our son. His positive aura and ability to build our son’s confidence from the first lesson onwards was terrific. Vishal is well organised and arrives to lessons with his own resources. We like the fact that he provides feedback after every lesson. He also sets homework each week that helps to practice what is done in class. We particularly like the fact that he is reliable and has never missed a lesson. He even called me to wish my son 'good luck' the day prior to the exam and followed up with how the exam went a few days later. A really nice human being apart from being a great tutor! It is easy to find a tutor who can teach, but it is difficult to find a tutor who can inspire and motivate and this was what made Vishal stand out from other tutors we interviewed. We were told by the school that our son's English skills would not be good enough for Latymer Upper and Westminster, King's. The key areas in which he needed a boost: comprehension and creative writing piece. We contacted Vishal and he assessed our son in the first lesson and gave us clear feedback. We booked lessons and with just a few hours he was able to work on 'inference' (vital for the 11+ English exams) and understanding how to answer questions with the level of detail needed. Vishal prepared our son for the Westminster (16+) entrance exams for a period of just under 5 months. He worked through a range of subjects (Maths, Chemistry & Physics). Vishal explained me my Business syllabus (Cambridge international) really good. As an international student it was hard for me to understand some concepts in the syllabus but he explained them to me in a way that looked easy!

His fees reflect his dedication to teaching and being there for you whenever you need – at 9am in the morning or 9pm at night. Vishal is refreshingly passionate and knowledge when it comes to teaching GCSE Maths. This came across in the trial lesson he offered. I have been having lessons with Vishal for the last 9 months. He helped build me build my confidence in English prior to taking my GCSEs. He worked on the set texts, poems and practice exam questions and was thorough. We knew the competition was fierce for these schools, but decided to go ahead with tuition session with Vishal due to his exceptionally high pass rates for his 11+ students. Within the first session, we knew we had picked the perfect tutor for our son. Not only was Vishal patient, but his ability to make the lesson interesting and engage with our son, meant that Keval actually looked forward to his lessons with Vishal on a weekly basis. We have never had a tutor who went the extra mile and goes beyond what is expected, but this changed when Vishal arrived. He doesn’t just get up and leave after the session is up.
