About Kazuma

Hello. After graduating from a junior high school in Japan, I attended and graduated from an online high school in the United States. Afterward, I took AP exams, achieving scores of 5 in AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Chemistry, and AP Calculus BC, and a score of 4 in AP Physics C: Electricity & Magnetism. I have roots in both Australia and Japan, and I have studied using both Japanese and English. Therefore, I understand the technical terms and how to read English exam questions that Japanese students often struggle with when learning math and science in English. I am deeply fascinated by the universe and its mysteries, and I especially love physics. I believe STEM is like a language for understanding how the universe works. I am approachable and, at the same time, I am persistent in helping students truly understand. Currently, I aim to study physics at a university in Australia in the future. Drawing on my own experience of studying AP subjects and taking exams, I will fully support students who are preparing to take the AP exams.

About the lesson

In my lessons, I emphasize understanding "why things are the way they are" from the ground up, rather than simply memorizing formulas and methods. I tailor my explanations to each student's level and goals, explaining even difficult concepts as simply and step-by-step as possible. In addition to AP Physics, AP Chemistry, and AP Calculus exam preparation, I also provide foundational learning in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and science for middle and high school students. I teach in a way that suits each individual, whether you're a beginner, looking to overcome weaknesses, or aiming for high scores on the AP exams. I also provide clear support in Japanese as needed regarding specialized English terminology used in AP subjects and how to read problem statements written in English. Questions are welcome no matter how many times you ask. I will explain things carefully, using different examples and explanation methods as needed, until the student feels, "I finally understand!" I welcome students who are serious about learning and want to grow. I will fully support those who actively participate in class and put in the effort.
