About Isabella
My name is Isabella, and I’m a 22-year-old New Yorker currently in my final year at Washington University in St. Louis! I’ve loved the French language ever since my first trip to Paris, France when I was 11 and have been studying the language ever since. My passion for French grew alongside my love of the culture, history, and way of life, and I recently had the amazing opportunity to live and work in Paris for eight months, fully immersing myself in the language. I hope to work internationally in a French-speaking environment in the future. In addition to French, I also speak Italian, German, and a little Spanish, and I have a deep love for languages in general. I enjoy sharing this passion with others, helping students not only learn French but also gain confidence and appreciation for the culture. Outside of academics and language learning, I love to travel, horseback ride, read, cook, and I am even a student pilot! I bring this same curiosity, energy, and enthusiasm into my lessons, creating engaging, personalized, and fun learning experiences.

Bonjour! I’m a Senior at Washington University in St. Louis majoring in European Studies and French, offering individualized French tutoring for students of all ages and proficiency levels. Each lesson is carefully structured to match your goals and learning style. A typical session includes a balance of grammar review, vocabulary building, and conversation practice, all reinforced through engaging reading and listening exercises. I emphasize pronunciation, comprehension, and real-world communication so that you not only understand French but can use it confidently. For beginners, lessons will focus on foundational grammar, everyday expressions, and pronunciation skills. Intermediate learners will build fluency through conversation and writing practice to reinforce grammar concepts, and discussions about Francophone culture. Advanced students will refine their language through more sophisticated discussions of French current events, article analysis, and written assignments to practice fluency at all levels. Having both tutored students previously and lived and worked in Paris, France, I bring authentic cultural insights to every lesson.
