About Helena
I have taught privately and at university evening courses. I have experience teaching small groups and individuals, both face to face and online - we've all had to adapt! I have been working with English speaking adult students, most absolute beginners and with no prior knowledge of Portuguese or other languages.

I use mixed media, such as powerpoints, games, songs, traditional exercises - and sometimes even bring native speakers as guests to my classes to give students a chance to practice live! I explain and demonstrate the grammar but try to keep it to a minimum and focus more on giving students the chance to apply what they have learned.
