About Abigail
Working with busy professionals is surprisingly similar to teaching kids. I rarely start with a book.
Music theory is just a fancy name for what we do on the back porch. I bring 9 years of experience playing in the Appalachian tradition to our sessions.
I have guided 103 students through blues progressions, chord transitions, and songwriting. Reading tabs and strumming patterns can be picked up once you have the rhythm in your bones.
My degree from UCLA gives me the technical edge for lead guitar and maintenance. I keep my methods simple and effective. You will find I am always ready to pick a tune.

You will gain total control. It happens fast. We focus on your ability to play through chord transitions and lead guitar lines with ease. Tuning and maintenance are covered early so you never struggle with your gear.
We explore blues progressions and strumming patterns that fit your personal style. Every month, I provide a recorded review of your progress to show how far you have come.
It is like having a practice partner in your living room. I enjoy playing alongside my students to help them find their groove. You will see how much fun playing guitar can be when you stop overthinking it.
