About IASMINE

I've been teaching English as a Second Language since I started college in 2012. I've had students from 3 to 70 years old (no kidding), and I love all age groups. I graduated in 2017 from Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, in Brazil, and continued teaching at different Language Centers/Schools and also privately. I currently have an Instagram profile (concealed information) to help Brazilian students to improve their English skills. At the moment, all my students are from Latin America: Mexicans, Venezuelans, Colombians, and Brazilians.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is communicative and student-centered. The classes are personalized according to the student's interests and each class has a different theme, for example, "technology", "relationships", "career" etc. Expect a lot of listening (99% authentic material - news, songs, interviews, etc), speaking, and some grammar.

Iasmine is an excellent teacher, super competent, patient and very attentive. Living in the US helps a lot in understanding the latest contexts, in fluent conversation, including words used in the daily lives of North Americans. She still lives in the United States, so she's always up to date on what happens there. She has a degree as well, from UFMG, I believe this helps a lot in the techniques she uses. I wouldn't change teachers!
