About Ekua
I specialize in IELTS Speaking and OET Speaking (for medicine) preparation for adult learners who need clear, strategic guidance to achieve their target scores for study, work, or professional registration. I bring 10 years of experience teaching English as a Second Language, both online and in person, to students from around the world. I am a former IELTS Speaking Examiner and currently work as an OET Interlocutor, which gives me first-hand insight into how candidates respond and are assessed in real exam conditions.

Because I have examined many candidates, I am uniquely positioned to identify the most common speaking mistakes that cost candidates valuable marks. I don’t rely on generic practice questions — I teach you what examiners are listening for, how to structure strong responses, and how to sound confident, clear, and natural under exam pressure. My lessons are focused, practical, and personalized. You will receive: Targeted speaking practice with examiner-style feedback Clear strategies for fluency, coherence, pronunciation, and task response Corrections and solutions you can apply immediately Confidence-building techniques for test day If you are an OET candidate who is a medical professional, we practice using the OET role playing cards and the vocabulary workbook, " Check your English Vocabulary for Medicine" If you are preparing for IELTS or OET Speaking and want expert feedback from someone who understands the exam from the inside, I’d be happy to work with you.
