About Peter

Hi, I'm Peter, a recent graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University with a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Over the course of my degree, I worked through the full math sequence, from calculus and differential equations to linear algebra and statistics, and I applied it in real engineering work.

I served as Payload Team Lead on the TBEARR satellite, and as Lead Mechanical and Aerospace Engineer and Program Analyst on two NASA L'SPACE programs. I'm also a NASA Lucy Mission Ambassador, which means I regularly explain complex science to a general audience. That experience has taught me to communicate technical ideas clearly and to stay organized under deadlines.

I'm reliable, prepared, and patient. I show up on time with a plan for every session, and I take the time to understand where each student is struggling. My goal is to build lasting confidence in math, not just to get through the next assignment.

About the lesson

I'm an Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University aerospace engineering graduate, and I tutor high school math, from Algebra 1 through AP Calculus AB/BC and AP Statistics. I use math every day in my engineering work, including NASA programs and satellite projects, so I can show students why the concepts matter, not just how to get the answer.

My method is built on understanding first, then practice. I break each topic into small, logical steps, connect it to real-world examples, and work problems together until you can solve them on your own. Every lesson starts with a quick review of your homework or weak spots, moves into new material or targeted problem-solving, and ends with practice questions and a clear plan for the week ahead. For AP students, I focus on exam-style questions, common traps, and time management, so you're prepared for test day.

What sets me apart is that I teach math the way engineers use it: as a problem-solving tool. I'm patient, I adapt to your pace, and I'll explain a concept as many ways as it takes for it to click.

My lessons are for high school students at any level, whether you're catching up, keeping up, or aiming for a 5 on your AP exam.
