About Amber

I am a fourth year veterinary student based in Surrey and Portsmouth, who achieved 3 A*’s in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at A-level and also achieved 10 A*’s at GCSE. Happy to tutor all ages and ability up to A-level. I have previously tutored Maths and Biology and enjoy working with children.

About the lesson

I base my lesson plan on the current curriculum - working through each topic by explaining basic concepts and linking them with real world examples. I accompany each topic with example exam questions, and endeavour to engage every student by appealing to unique learning styles. I provide homework to each student to allow for independent learning time where I would then provide feedback and a mark scheme in line with the style of the specific exam board.

Ali has been having a great few lessons, really building on his biology knowledge with subjects such as breathing and lung diseases. We are working on using key words and concepts in his answers to get the marks in the exam.
