About Danielle

I have been teaching all three sciences to GCSE higher level, both for single science and combined science, for over 20 years and have taught maths to foundation level. I have some experience of teaching biology to A level. I also am an examiner at GCSE and so recognise what is needed to achieve the best possible result. I have been tutoring both face to face and online for about 10 years.

About the lesson

I tailor my lessons to suit the student’s needs, abilities and learning styles to maximise learning, which can be discussed during the first free lesson. I try to make my lessons as fun and interactive as possible and relevant to both the exam and the world around us. I use examples from everyday life and science in the news. The lessons can either revise previous knowledge, to strengthen and deepen understanding or I can deliver lessons on new topics, to expand a student’s knowledge. I include relevant exam questions for the topic being covered and as a marker for an exam board, can offer relevant advice on how to gain the best possible marks. I believe that all students have the ability to achieve, given the correct encouragement and support and the knowledge they need. Most importantly, I love science and think that my enthusiasm for the subject is passed on to my students and helps them to learn.

Perfect! Danielle is a fab tutor, she really knows her stuff and has a real knack of explaining the difficult stuff to children and teenagers. She is currently helping my 16 year old with GCSE chemistry and it is going really well. Would certainly recommend.
