About Mia

I am a patient and communicative individual, and I integrate my passion for approachable learning and confidence building into my tutoring. I believe that in order for someone to excel in their academic work, they must feel confidence and motivation within - something which I aim to encourage within my sessions. I am a student at Cardiff University studying psychology with professional placement. I am currently on placement with the Family Intervention Team with Action for Children offering psychologically-informed intervention to young people and their families.

About the lesson

My lessons are for students studying psychology at University, A-level or GCSE standard. Lessons are flexible and can be suited to the individual's preferences. We can accommodate the work to how they find easiest to learn, and I encourage each student to break complex theories and ideas into smaller pieces to be better understood. Drawing and work with diagrams/mind maps are popular with me. Achieving an A in psychology A-level and A* Maths GCSE, I fit these subjects well and can provide students with an affordable academic push in the areas they feel need work. Tutor sessions can be online or face-to-face. My first session of 30 minutes (free) I like to get to know you, what are your interests, what you aim to work on and how we can work together to achieve the goals you are hoping for.

Perfect! Mia has been super helpful and useful when my AS psychology exam has been fast approaching. Even though I got a tutor very soon to my exam Mia has made such an impact in giving me revision tips on what is most effective. She is very friendly and easy to get along with.
