About Clare
My name is Clare P, I am an Italian and Spanish graduate of the University of Birmingham - Class I with distinction in spoken Italian. Having been born and raised in a bilingual household, I have always immersed myself in other languages and cultures. As a native English speaker, I am able to provide unmatched support to students wishing to enhance their command of the English language. As an Italian dual citizen and languages graduate who has lived in both Spain and Italy, I am able to also provide essential expertise in order to advance students’ understanding of Italian and Spanish, with first hand experience. I have previously tutored at GCSE level, so am well versed in supporting students seeking to reach their full potential.

My teaching ethos is centred upon creating a supportive and friendly learning environment, in which students feel confident enough to challenge themselves. I strongly advocate for needs-based teaching, tailoring my methods in order to reflect each individual student and their focus areas. Further, I believe in the utilisation of cultural immersion, in addition to more formal teaching styles, in order to provide a more comprehensive learning experience that has a broader and more engaging reach.
