About Matthew
I am currently a first year medical student at Nottingham University having achieved 3 A*s at A level in maths, biology and chemistry. I helped friends achieve grades they wanted at A levels at the same time as sitting my own A levels and have had years of experience of working with children and teenagers, through paid rugby coaching at a high level and voluntary work at schools.

My teaching method is very hands on. I like to explain the concept of the topic and then go through an example of how this may be tested in an exam paper. From there, in order for the students to gain confidence and independence, the learning will be student based and I will be there to guide them, rather than to do it for them. I will use a variety of techniques, such as exam questions and diagrams, to aid with the student's learning. Throughout the lessons, I will be asking the student to 'teach' me the topic in order for them to further their own understanding of the topic and for me to grasp their understanding too.
