As I am taking Psychology as an elective at Mcmaster, we have learned that the best and the most effective way of learning, which we all know is simply practice! Making interesting mnemonics, making sure that the student has fully understood all the concepts is extremely important for me as a tutor! After understanding, it's just practising until you know you've aced that concept! ;)
