About Jahera
I am a secondary school and sixth-form History teacher with QTS and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education.
I have privately tutored English and History at various key stages for 6 years.
I love studying Chinese history and enjoy reading and learning about different cultures and traditions. I graduated from SOAS University and completed my postgraduate education at Sheffield Hallam University.

Private online tutoring is a flexible approach, which suits both the tutor and the tutee. Weekends only. Flexible during school holidays. The software I use is Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Homework will be an optional addition to lessons upon parents’ or students’ request.
Subject focus will be either English literature/language or History.
Lessons will be one-to-one hour lessons, aided with textbook content catered to the student's syllabus. For GCSE/A Level there is a heavier exam focus.
KS3: Lesson focus will build on skills to prepare for GCSE.
Primary level: Specify what you would like to focus on in the request.
If you would like group sessions please specify in the request, pricing will vary.
Proofreading service: essays can be sent via email, and follow-up discussions with be made online. Message for more details. This is predominantly for A-level and University students, or GCSE coursework - £8-50 depending on length of submission.
