About Amber
Hi!
My name is Amber and I am primarily a third year medical student but I also tutor GCSE and A Level science in my spare time.
I have tutored for two years previously and I really enjoy it. I have had to take a few months of absence from tuition as I had to prioritise my exams to complete the second year of my medical degree. However, I am now ready to begin a new academic year teaching a fresh set of students!
As a medical student, I understand the difficulty of achieving success in our current education system. I prefer to teach only one student at a time as this allows me to prioritise and focus on their needs as every student is different! I will usually ask the student to prepare a topic they are unsure of and I will usually bring practice questions or exercises to solidify the student`s understanding after we have discussed their issues thoroughly.
Not only do I teach subjects for GCSE and A Levels I also enjoy giving guidance to students for university applications. This can be a confusing and scary process but I can help with interview skills, personal statement writing and provide general advice.
