About Aastha

My name is Aastha and I am a first-year university student currently studying in Manchester. I completed my schooling in India, where I developed a strong academic foundation across a wide range of subjects, achieving excellent results throughout my education including my Grade 12 examinations.
Having recently gone through the experience of being a student myself, I understand the pressures and challenges that young learners face today. This gives me a unique ability to connect with children and teenagers in a way that is relatable, encouraging and supportive.
I am passionate about helping young learners grow in confidence, particularly in English, where strong communication skills can make a real difference both inside and outside the classroom. I believe that every child has the potential to succeed; sometimes they just need the right person to guide them. I am patient, reliable, punctual and fully committed to the progress of every student I work with. I take my responsibilities as a tutor seriously and always come to sessions well prepared with structured, thoughtful material tailored to each individual child.
I am available for lessons and am happy to discuss a schedule that works around your child's needs.

About the lesson

I am a friendly and patient first-year university student with a strong academic background, having completed my schooling in India where academic standards are highly rigorous and demanding. I specialise in English language support and general homework help, tailored specifically to each child's individual needs and learning pace.
My approach is relaxed, encouraging and fun. I believe every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each student. I focus on building confidence first, because when a child feels comfortable, learning comes naturally.
My lessons typically last 1 hour, though I am flexible and can offer 30 or 45 minute sessions depending on the child's age and attention span.
I use simple explanations, interactive exercises, reading practice and engaging activities to make lessons enjoyable rather than stressful.
