About Lucy

I am a recent graduate of the University of Southampton, with a degree in BA English and History. I absolutely love my subjects and hope I can pass this onto my students. As someone who grew up on a dairy farm and was the first in my family to go to university, I am grateful for my hard-earned place at university where I am privileged to study the subjects I love. I love to travel and explore different cultures. I hope to travel to as many different countries as possible. My other interests include eating chocolate and going shopping!

About the lesson

My lessons promise to be fun and engaging. Each lesson will be uniquely tailored to the student’s needs and ability. I welcome students who find English literature a real struggle and are looking for that pass grade, as well as advanced students seeking the top grades, and everyone in between. My lessons include a wide range of activities that will give you the tools to succeed, as I strive to deepen my student’s knowledge and help them to find the best study methods for them.

Lucy was wonderful with my daughter and showed she really cared. She supported my daughter in the areas she needed and boosted her confidence no end. After a lot of hard work on my daughter's part and the encouragement given by Lucy, my daughter got a Grade 9 in English GCSE Lit and Lang which she was stunned by and hadn't expected.
