About Daniel

I love teaching, and my ten years' experience as an educator have made me patient and attentive with my students across age-groups, subjects and abilities. Above all, I want to cultivate creative and critical thinking, and confidence.

My day job is in communications at a climate non-profit, but outside the office or the classroom you'll find me in the park, at a gig, in front of a film or on a bike.

I'm laidback and flexible, but will be committed to achieving your educational goals with you, and always having fun while learning.

About the lesson

My approach is collaborative, committed and fun.

In our first lesson we'll get to know each other and work together to understand what methods of learning you find most engaging (if you don't enjoy the lessons you'll get less out of them!) what you want to get out of the lessons and a timeline achieving this. I'll then make resources to give you the structure you need to excel.

My ethos is that the best way to learn is to teach: I will encourage you to think creatively and explain your ideas to me, helping you critique and nurture your ability. Together we'll be building the environment that makes you most comfortable to learn in.

*Concessional rates*
I believe that education should be accessible to all, so if you are out of work, on low income, or a student with limited financial support we can discuss concessional rates. This will be on a trust basis – I won't be asking for proof.

*Extra costs*
We'll discuss your educational needs in the first lesson, I will try keep any extra costs to a minimal but extensive extra resources or travel time may come with an extra price.
