About Olivia

Hi!
My name's Olivia and I am currently a Biology and Chemistry A level student. My predicted grades for Chemistry and Biology are A* and A, I also got a 9 in both of them at GCSE. Due to schools being closed and exams unfortunately being cancelled, I thought I would put my time into helping others with their education. I am incredibly devoted to my subjects and understand them thoroughly. I am planning on doing a Natural Science degree at university which shows my passion and love for Science. This passion would be implemented into the tutoring I would provide. I am able to explain difficulties to students, teach the information and make sure they learn all the skills they need in order to excel.
I think the best thing about me being an A level student is that I've been through the whole process and I know what needs to be done and to be learnt in order to achieve the grades that you want.
Currently, I have tutored some of my mum's friends children Chemistry and Biology and they were very impressed by my organisation and motivation towards the student getting the best grade they could possibly get.
I know I probably don't have the most experience out there compared to other tutors, but I assure you if you choose me to tutor you or your child I will not disappoint you, and I will make sure that you get the best value for money possible.
Currently in lockdown I have a LOT of extra time on my hands and all that time would be devoted to tutoring and making sure that my full attention is on the task at hand which is helping others achieve what they want.

About the lesson

My teaching method to begin with is to make sure that students know and understand the information. This is very important as without this, students won't have that baseline understanding in order to answer the exam questions. Then I will give the students resources e.g. topic questions, exam questions. I will show videos because a lot of people learn well visually. After each topic has been taught I will bring out exam questions which will be done by the student first, and then marked together. This will mean the student can see where she/he has gone wrong and can quickly learn from it, which is what this technique will implement
