About Luke
Hi, I am currently a 20 year old Dental student living in Manchester with quite a lot of free time. I am excited at the prospect of continuing to reaffirm my knowledge of Maths and Science and be able to share this knowledge by teaching students. I understand the difficulties that secondary school students face in adapting to the new system of GCSEs and believe I am capable of helping students to overcome this difficulty. I am experienced in tutoring GCSE Maths and Science in the new 1-9 system as I have been tutoring my nephew for two years who is currently in year 11. I was successful in my GCSE examinations earning 10 A* and 1 A. I also studied Maths, Chemistry and Physics at A level and earned A*AA. I am keen and enthusiastic and flexible enough to work around most schedules. I enjoy teaching and it is a very beneficial skill to have, especially in my chosen profession. I am good at communicating and a great listener so I believe I have the skills to further any student's knowledge and ability in Maths and Science.

My teaching style varies as it depends on the student and their preferences. I like to ask the student themselves how they would like me to teach and what methods they find most useful. That way they achieve much more from the time I spend with them. I like to begin by going through a specimen paper with the student then identifying the areas I need to pay attention to in future lessons. This way the allotted time is always most efficient and beneficial.
