About Mhairi
I am a friendly, enthusiastic 4th year medical student at the University of York. I have 5 years of experience tutoring biology and chemistry up to GCSE level and I have also mentored students through the medical school application process including personal statements and UCAT.
I love tutoring as I am passionate about the subjects and I find it very rewarding being able to build up confidence with my students.

I aim to make engaging lessons based around the preferred learning style of the student as everyone learns very diffently. I remember from when I was in school, what a difference it made having a teacher that was enthusiastic and could explain things in different ways.
My lessons often take the shape of a PowerPoint followed by some practice questions to help students understanding and confidence in a subject.
