About Leah
When I consider what occupation speaks to me the most, teaching is the first thing that comes to mind. I aspire to inspire. As someone who is driven by creativity and new challenges, tutoring seems like the perfect role for me.
English as a subject is a catalyst to movement. It simultaneously acknowledges the past, present and future. Using history, intimately in the form of perspective through art and literature to provide insight and a blueprint to recreate something new. English language is an enabler in how it permits social mobility. It nurtures the ability to communicate with the external world and inwardly, and teaches us how to look at the world with a critical lens. I believe that any student can find success in this subject as there is little room for error. The benefit of teaching English is that I will be able to work with an understand so many variations of interpretations and forms of expression.

Having achieved a 9 in English Literature at GCSE, an A at A level and a 2:1 at University, I feel equipped to support all ages with their academic needs.
I aim to adopt a holistic approach to learning, and strive to create a safe and trusted space.
Part of the journey with my pupil will be about gaining knowledge of how to create personalised resources to support independent learning.
I am very happy to be flexible with the length of lessons and pricing. It is important to be accessible and accommodating.
