About Erika
I am currently studying English and History in my second master’s semester as a high school teacher at the Leibniz University in Hanover. For the past two years I worked as an au pair in Chicago, USA, where I gained a lot of new experience and was able to improve the use of English for a long time by dealing with native speakers on site. In addition, I looked after two children every day and supported them with homework and school projects and organized a home schooling program during the corona pandemic.

I like to design the lessons individually for the students. I am happy to use topics or examples that are of personal interest to the students themselves in order to encourage fun while learning. In addition, I am of the opinion that the most effective way to learn a language and also to keep it is if it is spoken a lot, so free speaking is very important to me. Ultimately, I think that all of this can be implemented as soon as there is a certain trust and well-being on the part of the students and the teaching person.
