About Tamia
Hi! My name is Tamia, and I’m a qualified teacher with over three years of experience working with learners from Grades 4–12.
I have always had a passion for English and for helping learners discover that they are capable of achieving more than they think. I believe that learning should be an enjoyable and encouraging experience, where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and growing from them.
Why do I enjoy teaching?
For me, teaching is about much more than simply helping you get better marks. I enjoy seeing that moment when something finally “clicks” and you understand something that once seemed difficult. I love helping learners build their confidence, develop their skills, and realise their own potential.
Every learner is different, which is why I believe lessons should be adapted to your individual needs, learning style, and goals. Whether you need help with grammar, comprehension, literature, essay writing, or exam preparation, I aim to make every lesson practical, engaging, and worthwhile.
My goal is simple: to help you become more confident in English and give you the skills you need to succeed.
